BRIDGEVIEW BANK LAUNCHES NEW PROGRAM FOR SENIORS

Prime Time Club Expands to Include Reading Program, May 1, 2009

CHICAGO, May 1, 2009 – Bridgeview Bank announced today the recent launch of The Prime Time Readers, a new reading and book club that is a part of the bank’s popular Prime Time Club. Formed in 2007, the Prime Time Club is Bridgeview Bank’s exclusive membership category for its Prime Checking Account customers.

“We are thrilled to once again expand the benefits of our Prime Time Club Program,” said Tim Ryan, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Bridgeview Bank. “Prime Time Club members are among our most loyal and active customers and we are always looking at opportunities that extend their relationship with us beyond the traditional banking products and services they already enjoy.”

According to Ryan, programming for the Prime Time Club is intended to help customers maintain an active, healthy and informed lifestyle. He believes the Prime Time Readers is a natural extension to programming that already includes travel opportunities, how-to workshops and other informational and social activities. “This new program brings a segment of our customers together to learn about new and interesting topics, engage in dialogue, and make new friends. Our members drive the agenda of the program. Bridgeview Bank is simply the catalyst that brings it all together.”

Already, the Prime Time Readers have held organizational meetings and completed two novels – Marley & Me, a New York Times bestseller about a poorly behaved yet loveably loyal Labrador Retriever, and Water for Elephants, a story about a 90-year-old man remembering his days with a circus during the Great Depression. The group is currently reading My Stroke of Insight written Jill Bolte Taylor, a Harvard-trained brain scientist who, at age 37, suffers a debilitating stroke. The book chronicles Taylor’s personal journey through her road to recovery.

Bridgeview Bank has joined forces with the Bridgeview Public Library to assist in sourcing and securing reading selections for the Prime Time Readers. “The Library is a very important community partner for us and we could not successfully offer this program without their support,” added Ryan.
