Bridgeview Bank Uptown goes Hollywood with the nationwide release of Public Enemies, a major motion picture developed by Oscar-winning director Michael Mann, which chronicles the exploits of the notorious Chicago bank robber John Dillinger. The film features Johnny Depp as Dillinger, Christian Bale as FBI agent Mel Purvis and Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard as Dillinger’s love interest Billie Frechette.

The crew spent several weeks last summer filming key scenes of the film at our Uptown headquarters. The trailer for the film shows Depp (aka Dillinger) ascending our Grand Staircase to our Grand Lobby where the scene unfolds.
